Dear supporters of the Caring Majority,
People are living longer than ever; most of our elders and and many people with disabilities need care.
Bu nursing homes and institutions can be expensive and isolating, and very few want to live in one anyway. We know that aging and living in one's home - in one's own community - is preferred way to be cared for among people who need care. In fact, 90% of the population would prefer to age at home instead of in a facility.
Planning for long-term care is not just personal - it’s political.
The Caring Majority is working to bring our caregiving infrastructure into the 21st century, so everyone can age and live with dignity.
We’re living longer than ever before. It’s time for policies that support both seniors and people with disabilities who need care and the families and professional caregivers who care for them.
Join State Representative Padma Kuppa and the Caring Majority at Clawson High School (101 John M Ave, Clawson, MI 48017) on Wednesday, August 21st for a community conversation around care.
